about me

I am a professor of Latin American and Caribbean literature and film at the University of Cincinnati.

My research and teaching focus on migration, race, gender, sexuality, geographical imagination, and political dissent as they relate to Latin American and Caribbean literature, cinema, and popular culture. I also explore critical discourse analysis, digital humanities, and textual analysis, with a particular interest in digital archives, the role of LLMs in humanities research, and the ethical considerations surrounding AI in this field.
